The Failure of Laissez Faire Capitalism and the Economic Dissolution of the West

Ebook Version: (PDF, EPUB, MOBI Formats)

Written By: Paul Craig Roberts

Ebook Summary

The Failure Of Laissez Faire Capitalism And Economic Dissolution Of The West by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts – formerly Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury for Economic Policy – is a fundamentally important work about the dramatic changes that are taking place in the US and world economies. For this reason, I translated the book into German in the spring of 2012 for its publication by Weltbuch (Dresden) in July 2012 (German title ‘Wirtschaft am Abgrund – Der Zusammenbruch der Volkswirtschaften und das Scheitern der Globalisierung’). Economic and political developments during the past year have given the book even greater significance.

Ebook Reviews

” Incredibly Clear, vitally important, ”

- Veronica M. Shelford

Economics may be the “gloomy science” for most of its glum practitioners, but in Roberts’ humanist hands, it’s a scalpel to carve order from disorder—to framework the challenges of our precarious, modern, globalized world; to alert us to the dangers we face now, and the even graver threats ahead if we cannot restore real democracy, moral sensibility and rational balance.

” One of the best books on economics I’ve ever read.”

- Phatom Unmasker

This is an economics book that really makes sense of the bizarre twists and turns and ups and downs our economy has gone through from the 1970s through today. Roberts has some great suggestions for how to turn things around and get our economy on track for greatness once again, but I don’t know whether the power elite in this country will ever put them into effect.

” Here’s a book that presents its theses nimbly, deftly, consummately… ”
